Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Tatami(the “Service”), operated by Tatami. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Tatami helps judo clubs curate their grading syllabus and helps judoka revise techniques belt by belt. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

2. Your account

  • You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
  • You must be old enough to form a binding contract, or have the consent of a parent or guardian. Clubs and coaches are responsible for ensuring appropriate consent for any members who are minors.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • break the law or infringe others’ rights when using the Service;
  • upload content you do not have the right to use;
  • attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service (we apply rate limiting and other protections to preserve availability);
  • use the Service to store or share unlawful, harmful, or abusive material.

4. Content and ownership

You retain ownership of the content you add (such as club syllabuses, notes, and media links). You grant us a licence to host and display that content solely to operate the Service for you and your club. The Service itself, including its software and branding, remains our property.

5. Coach subscriptions and payment

  • Running a club is offered on a paid subscription. Current pricing and any free-trial terms are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings; access continues until the end of the paid period.
  • Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may change pricing on reasonable notice.

6. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we provide it “as is” and cannot guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may modify or discontinue parts of the Service, and will give reasonable notice of material changes where we can.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to others or to the Service.

8. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, and our total liability arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory local law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
